Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

With joy and gratitude to God, I warmly welcome you to the official home of the African Catholic Community at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Dubai.

As people of faith, united by our baptism and nourished by the Eucharist, we gather as one family—celebrating the richness of our African heritage while rooted deeply in the universal Catholic Church. This community is more than a gathering; it is a spiritual home where we encounter Christ, strengthen one another in faith, and live out our Christian mission in the vibrant and diverse city of Dubai.

Here, we draw strength from the words of Scripture: “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20). Truly, the Lord is in our midst as we worship together, share our gifts, and support each other as brothers and sisters.

This platform is designed to keep us connected in faith and fellowship. It will serve as a space for prayer intentions, liturgical schedules, announcements, and resources to help us grow in our journey of holiness. Most importantly, it is an invitation to every member—new and old—to participate actively in the life of our community, so that together we may be living witnesses of Christ’s love.

Dear friends, may this community always be a reflection of God’s kingdom: a place of welcome, unity, joy, and service. As we walk together in faith, may the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, intercede for us, and may our Lord Jesus Christ bless every effort we make in His name.

Welcome once again, and may the peace of Christ remain with you and your families.

Prayer for the Preparation of the Annual Retreat – 2026

St. Mary’s Catholic Church – Dubai.

Heavenly Father, Creator of all nations and peoples, we praise You and thank You for the gift of life. We thank you for the church of our African Community, and for calling us into Your one holy Catholic Church.

Lord Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd and Bread of Life, as we prepare for our annual retreat, draw us closer to Your Sacred Heart.

Gather us as one family, united in faith, hope, and love, Remove from us every distraction, fear, and division, and fill us with a deep hunger for Your Word and Your Holy Presence.

Holy Spirit, Fire of God and Giver of Life come and renew us.
Bless our preacher.
Guide our retreat, inspire our prayers, and open our minds to hear Your voice

Lord, bless all who will participate- the organizers, the leaders, and every member of our community. May this retreat be a time of healing a time of reconciliation, a time of joyful praise and true conversion

Mother Mary, Our Lady of Arabia, walk with us and intercede for us. Teach us to listen to your Son,
We entrust this retreat into Your hands, O Lord, May it bear abundant fruit in our lives, in our families, and in our community
