Christian Women’s Organization
“She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.”
— Proverbs 31:26-27
In the heart of Dubai’s vibrant Catholic community, where faith transcends borders and cultures unite in Christ, there exists a beautiful tapestry of grace, strength, and unwavering devotion—the Catholic Women Organization of the African Catholic Community at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
We are daughters of the Most High, called by name and commissioned by the Holy Spirit to be bearers of light in our homes, our church, and our community. United by our African heritage and bound together by our Catholic faith, we stand as witnesses to the transforming power of God’s love in the lives of women who dare to say “yes” to His divine purpose.
Our Sacred Calling
Like the Blessed Virgin Mary, our perfect model of faith and obedience, we embrace our vocation as women of God with humility and courage. Our organization is not merely a social gathering; it is a Spirit-filled movement of women who have encountered the living Christ and whose lives have been forever changed by His mercy and grace.
In a world that often diminishes the sacred role of women, we boldly proclaim the truth that Christian womanhood is a gift—a divine calling that carries both profound responsibility and extraordinary blessing. We are mothers, daughters, sisters, professionals, and homemakers, but above all, we are beloved children of God, each uniquely created to reflect His glory in the world.
“Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”
— Proverbs 31:30
Our Foundation in Faith
The Catholic Women Organization of the African Catholic Community was born from a deep recognition that women play an irreplaceable role in the life of the Church. We are the nurturers of faith in our families, the intercessors who stand in the gap for our loved ones, and the hands and feet of Christ to those in need.
Our foundation rests on three unshakeable pillars: fervent prayer, sacrificial service, and authentic fellowship. These pillars guide every aspect of our mission and shape our identity as Catholic women living in diaspora, far from our homelands but never far from the heart of God.
The Three Pillars of Our Mission
⛪ Fervent Prayer
We are women of the upper room, devoted to persistent prayer and intercession. Through prayer, we encounter the living God, receive His wisdom, and unleash His power in our lives and communities. We gather regularly to lift our voices in praise, petition, and thanksgiving, knowing that the fervent prayer of a righteous woman avails much.
🤲 Sacrificial Service
Following the example of Christ who came not to be served but to serve, we extend our hands in compassion to the poor, the sick, the lonely, and the marginalized. Our service flows from hearts transformed by love—love that gives without counting the cost and serves without seeking recognition.
💝 Authentic Fellowship
In the communion of sisters, we find strength, encouragement, and accountability. We celebrate together, weep together, and journey together through the seasons of life. Our fellowship is not superficial but rooted in genuine Christian love that bears one another’s burdens and rejoices in each other’s blessings.
Our Vision and Values
We envision a community of Catholic women who are on fire with the love of Christ—women who radiate joy in their marriages, wisdom in their parenting, excellence in their professions, and holiness in their daily living. We dream of households transformed by prayer, children raised in the knowledge of God, and communities impacted by our collective witness to the Gospel.

Walking in Our African Heritage
As African women, we carry within us the rich spiritual heritage of a continent where faith runs deep and God is not a distant concept but a living reality. We bring to this community the warmth of African hospitality, the vibrancy of our worship, the strength of our resilience, and the depth of our faith traditions.
From Nigeria to Kenya, from Uganda to Cameroon, from Tanzania to Ghana and beyond, we represent the beautiful diversity of the African continent. Yet in Christ, we are one—united not by nationality alone, but by our common faith in Jesus Christ and our shared mission to be salt and light in this world.
Our Identity in Christ
We are not defined by our struggles or our circumstances. We are defined by whose we are—beloved daughters of the King of Kings. In Dubai, far from our homelands, we may be sojourners, but we are never strangers to God’s love. We are His ambassadors, His chosen vessels, His instruments of peace and transformation.
Our Commitment to Excellence
The Catholic Women Organization is committed to excellence in all we do—not for our own glory, but for the glory of God. We pursue excellence in our spiritual lives, striving for holiness and deeper intimacy with Christ. We pursue excellence in our service, ensuring that every act of charity is done with love and dignity. We pursue excellence in our families, raising children who know and love God.
We are women who refuse to settle for mediocrity when God has called us to greatness. We understand that our calling is not to blend into the background but to shine brightly, reflecting the light of Christ in every sphere of influence He has entrusted to us.
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”
— Colossians 3:23-24
A Movement of Grace
What makes our organization truly special is not our programs or activities—as wonderful as they are—but the presence of the Holy Spirit among us. When we gather, we encounter God. When we serve, we serve Christ Himself. When we pray, heaven moves.
We are witnessing a movement of grace—a divine stirring in the hearts of African Catholic women in Dubai. The Holy Spirit is calling us to rise up, to take our rightful place as leaders in our homes and communities, to speak words of life and hope, to bind up the brokenhearted, and to proclaim freedom to the captives.

We believe that through our collective efforts, families will be restored, souls will be saved, and the Kingdom of God will advance in Dubai and beyond.
We stand on the promises of God, knowing that He who began a good work in us will carry it to completion. We move forward with confidence, not in our own strength, but in the power of the Holy Spirit who dwells within us. We embrace our calling with joy, knowing that we are exactly where God wants us to be, doing exactly what He has called us to do.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
— Philippians 4:13
“To God be the glory for the great things He has done and the greater things He is yet to do through the women of the African Catholic Community at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Dubai. May our lives continually reflect His love, our service honor His name, and our unity testify to His transforming power. Amen.”
