As the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 1324) reminds us, “The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life.” Each time the Eucharist is celebrated, the bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, and this sacred mystery allows us to partake in His divine nature.

We are reminded in Romans 12:1 that we should “offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.” In the Eucharistic Ministry, we offer our very selves in service to the Lord, becoming vessels of His grace and instruments of His peace.
